ELECTRICAL, INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROL ENGINEERING
Electrical System Design: Developing single-line diagrams, load lists, cable schedules, and system layouts in accordance with applicable standards (e.g., IEC, NEC).
Instrumentation and Control: Designing instrument loop diagrams, control logic, P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams), and integrating SCADA/DCS/PLC systems for optimised process control.
System Upgrades and Retrofits: Evaluating existing equipment to update or expand electrical and control systems, improving reliability and efficiency.
DRAFTING AND DOCUMENT CONTROL
Technical Drawings & 3D Modelling: Producing detailed mechanical, electrical, and civil drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit).
Document Management: Implementing systems and procedures for version control, document approvals, and archiving to maintain compliance and traceability.
As-Built Documentation: Updating drawings and specifications throughout a project’s lifecycle to reflect final installed conditions.
CONSTRUCTION PLANNING
Constructibility Reviews: Evaluating design documents to identify potential construction issues early and proposing practical solutions.
Scheduling & Coordination: Working with contractors and stakeholders to develop detailed construction schedules, resource plans, and method statements.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that all construction activities meet local regulations, health and safety requirements, and environmental guidelines.
ENGINEERING REVIEW
Peer Reviews & Audits: Conducting independent reviews of designs, calculations, and specifications to validate accuracy and compliance.
Value Engineering: Finding ways to reduce costs or improve performance without compromising safety or quality.
SAFETY IN DESIGN REPORTS
Hazard Identification: Assessing designs for potential hazards (e.g., electrical, mechanical, chemical) and implementing design features to mitigate risks.
Compliance with Safety Standards: Documenting adherence to relevant standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO, local regulations).
Safety Case Development: Providing clients with clear reports detailing how safety is integrated throughout the design process.
COMMISSIONING
Pre-Commissioning Checks: Verifying that all systems (electrical, mechanical, control) are installed correctly and safely.
Functional Testing: Testing equipment and systems according to detailed procedures to ensure they meet design specifications.
Operational Handover: Delivering final documentation, training, and support to transition the project to operations effectively.
INSPECTION TEST PLANS
Inspection Protocols: Defining inspection points, hold points, and tests throughout fabrication and installation.
Quality Control Checklists: Setting acceptance criteria, documentation requirements, and sign-off procedures to ensure compliance with specifications.
Compliance Tracking: Maintaining records of all inspections and tests for auditing and certification purposes.
